Afghanistan in Transition – An Expanded Role for the Private Sector
This year's Conference will be held in cooperation with Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI); Afghanistan Builders Association (ABA); Afghan Business Council-Dubai (ABC-Dubai); the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA); the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, D.C.; U.S. Department of States; U.S. Department of Commerce; U.S. Department of Defence and other U.S. and Afghan business and governmental leaders.
This year’s Conference will include “One-On-One“ meetings/discussions with key Speakers, panelists and U.S. and Afghan Ministry and Government Officials” on the above-mentioned sectors. We also will repeat last year’s successful “Trade Fair,” to facilitate greater sharing of information on programs and opportunities between U.S. and Afghan firms.
A key purpose of the Conference is to provide opportunities for leaders among Afghan executives to meet their counterparts in U.S. business to discuss mutual activities. As in the past, these meeting can lead to the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between two businesses which will describe how these businesses will proceed with joint activities and build on the relationship founded at the AACC’s Conference.
